As a registered charity and non-profit society, we've always worked hard at SUNIA to keep our program as financially accessible as possible. Part of this involves working with community organizations, schools, and individuals to offer scholarships for students from many different locations and backgrounds. Please check back to this page throughout the year for new scholarships and opportunities.

Calgary Scholarships

Calgary Separate ATA Scholarship

We’re thrilled to be able to offer two students from a Calgary Separate ATA high school a full scholarship ($595.00) to attend SUNIA. If you attend one of these high schools and are interested in receiving this scholarship, please register for SUNIA and upon payment selection, fill out the bursary form and indicate you are interested in receiving this award. The United Nations association in canada (unac) Scholarship

On behalf of the United Nations Assoication in Canada (UNAC), we’re excited to offer a full scholarship ($595.00) to one student residing in Alberta and north of Red Deer. Applicants should write an essay of no more than 500 words on why they would like to attend SUNIA, linking it to goals that they have for their future; what specific things they hope to learn/achieve through their participation at SUNIA; and how they plan to use their experience to increase awareness about the UN and its mandate. The winning applicant must be able to speak at a Fall event hosted by the UNA-Canada Edmonton Branch (failing this, (s)he is asked to write a report on their experience for posting online as the Branch sees fit).
