SUNIA is a week-long summer program for high school students that runs every August at the Goldeye Centre in the Rocky Mountains near Nordegg, Alberta, Canada. Since 1952, SUNIA has provided a unique and exciting opportunity for students from around the world to connect and discuss world issues in a picturesque setting. At SUNIA, students are able to enjoy the surrounding environment laid out for them at the Goldeye Centre. From hikes up Mount Baldy, the highest peak in the area, to Crescent Falls, the beautiful two-tiered waterfall, students get a full experience of the Alberta Rockies. Students also have the opportunity to engage in a simulated United Nations Security Council and a development simulation in order to explore complex global issues.
